Those (gs) plans look like shared hosting. I&#039;m only paying $20/month right now for my Slice, and you really can&#039;t compare shared hosting to a VPS. The feature set and intended audience are entirely different. Looks like your VPS accounts start at $50.

Plus, the one time I did need to use a MediaTemple account (it was for a client, they already had an account with you), I found that it didn&#039;t really offer the flexibility we needed at the time. I don&#039;t exactly recall the problems we ran into, but I seem to remember that the interface for setting up cron jobs didn&#039;t really offer the fine-grained control we were looking for, and we had difficulties getting to the php error logs.

All that said, I&#039;m comfortable enough with the command line that the extra flexibility I get from using a VPS is valuable to me, so I don&#039;t think I&#039;ll be switching from Slicehost anytime soon.</description>
