Are you using IE6 when you go to signup?

We just found a bug today with IE6 and HTTPS. Both logging in and creating an account go over https, but normal calls don’t. Thus, everything works fine until you try to log in or register.

We’re in the midst of fixing it right now, but in the meantime, try using Firefox/Opera/anything other than IE and see if that works.

I’ve really enjoyed Grooveshark lite and would love to create an account. But when I try to sign up for one, I keep getting a vague error message. But, it doesn’t tell me what to fix. Thus, I can’t create an account.

Are their specific length or character requirements for the username or password? Have you had other people with this problem?
